Glitter, amazing dresses, high heels.
Dance floor, friends, spiked punch.
Promposal, limo, tons of pictures.
Boyfriend, corsage, slow dances.
Yes, I admit it. I sure am a victim of those american teen movies where you see each one of the things that I listed. And I am in owe everytime I see them, even if the story is exactly the same cliché one and the only thing that changes are the actors.
I should probably go to one of those meetings for people who have a problem and talk about it. The scene would be something like this:
“-Today we have a new member in our group. Could you introduce yourself to everybody and tell us what your problem is? Remember, we are not here to judge you. We are your friends.
-Hi my name is Giulia and I am addicted to american teen movies that have a prom in the storyline.
Well considering that it could happen with many other of my addictions, I should change topic…
So, about prom.
Even if I daydreamed a lot about it, there has always been a problem for me: there is no prom at all in my country. So the dream of going to that craved prom was going to stay pretty much a dream.
But then, as you know, I went to the US.
And not enough happy just go to the prom, I was part of the prom committee to also organise it.
The theme was Las Vegas.
The place was decorated amazingly, exactly how we wanted it. The food and the music were good. The people were wonderful. Every girl seemed to be stepped out of one of those movies I watched.
It was beautiful, surely a night to remember for the rest of my life.
Here are some pictures of that night when I felt like a princess.
Prom Dress: it was from a prom shop (so sorry I can’t even remember where it was) and it was $99.
